SVFE 2024
Silicon Valley Field Experience Trip 2024 | Theme: Meaningful XR
2023 SVFE VLOG
The MSU Silicon Valley Field Experience allows members of the Michigan State University Media Information community and beyond to receive a first-hand understanding of the current state of Silicon Valley industries in creating the future of communication technologies.
The goal is to showcase work life in the industry so students can make more informed decisions about their future.
From May 19th to May 24th, the SVFE students visited several companies, saw can't-miss landmarks, and had adventures of their own in Silicon Valley.
Companies visited and spoken to include: Uber, Youtube, Immergo, Waymo, and Tesla.
Also included were visits to California universities: Stanford University and Santa Clara University.
Students also had the opportunity to attend the Meaningful XR Conference (lead organizer Rabindra (Robby) Ratan) on the last two days of their time in Silicon Valley.
